The latest news (8th August) on the Parrett and Tone dredging project is available here.

EA are planning to hold a community open morning at the dredging compound in Burrowbridge on Saturday 30 August. More details will follow. They continue to hold Wednesday drop-ins at Gillards (Samways Farm) from 16:30 until 18:30. Look for the Land and Water sign on Riverside, Burrowbridge.

The remnants of Hurricane Bertha, expected at the weekend, are unlikely to result in flood events, as the high water level is a metre below that seen in February. The situation will be intensively monitored.

Public Exhibition - Aller Court Farm Solar Park

Residents should already have received a letter through the post inviting them to a Public Exhibition at the Village Hall on Tuesday 12th August, between 3pm and 7pm, together with an explanatory leaflet. Details of the proposals for a Solar array to the west of Aller Drove, some distance from the road, will be on view and you will be able to discuss the project with representatives of the companies involved.
This project is at the preparatory stage and a formal Planning Application has not yet been made. This is an opportunity for the village to comment on the proposal while there is still an opportunity to influence it.
