The latest weather forecast is for a band of rain to spread east
into Somerset during this evening, with some heavy bursts as it
clears into Wednesday morning. Strong south easterly winds are
expected with rainfall totals of between 15 – 25mm. Whilst river
levels are generally falling at present, we can expect levels to rise
for a time overnight in response to the forecast rainfall and this
could pose a risk of flooding to low lying land and minor roads.
Further bands of showery rain will spread in from the west on
Wednesday morning accompanied during the afternoon by gale force
westerly winds. These showers will tend to gradually ease late on
Wednesday evening.
